    EARTH HOUR

    EARTH HOUR - THE NEED OF THE TIME

    To raise awareness of global celebration particularly in regards to over use of non-renewable resources and resultant lightning, Arwachin Bharti Bhawan Sr. Sec. School is always one step ahead. So, with an aim to protect one thing that unites us all- the planet and to equip the students with this global issue. Earth Hour was observed in the premises of the school.

    A special morning assembly was organized whereby multitude of activities was conducted by the young drivers of the school. A special talk was delivered by the teachers during the assembly emphasizing on the turning off the non essential lights during the designated hours and thereby reducing millions of tonners of green house gases per annum. Students from classes VI to VII exhibited their imaginative thoughts through colorful posters and get the message to establish an inter-connected global community. Students from class VIII participated in slogan writing competition with full zest and zeal. Realizing the need of the hour, the school also shunned electricity for one hour in the morning.

    The Director of the school, Mr. Anurup Sharma extolled the exemplary contribution of the students and stated the small actions by every individual can make a big difference. The principal of the school, Dr.(Mrs.) Urmila Sharma, commented  that it is the duty of every one to take a step in the green direction by taking care for the future of the planet. The Head Mistress of the school, Ms. Prabha Garg urged the students to take the voluntary action and be personally responsible and accountable for your impact on the planet.

      Earth Hour Campaign
      ‘Earth Hour’ is a global initiative and the largest environmental campaign where citizens around the world show their support by turning off lights for one hour on 28th March,2015 (Sat.) from 8:30 -9:30 PM. Arwachin School urges its students to join together with full zeal and zest and make this campaign successful by forwarding the appeal “save electricity to their near and dear ones.

          PARENTS ORIENTATION PROGRAMME

          The nursery orientation was conducted on 21st March, 2015 to welcome the parents to A.B.B.Sr. Sec. School, Vivek Vihar. The Principal, Dr(Mrs) Urmila Sharma addressed the gathering. The parents were introduced briefly about the nursery curriculum and teaching methodology to be followed in the school. The classrooms were filled with enthusiastic teachers, parents and children.

          The students and the parents of Pre School and Pre Primary were eager to know the class and section, and to meet their class teacher. Bright colorful and informative charts adorned the walls of the classrooms.

          The programme began with the melodious rendition of Ganesh Vandana followed by a speech from Headmistress Mrs. Prabha Garg who emphasized the role of parents in shaping their children especially in the crucial years of their growth. She motivated all the parents to spend quality time with their wards and to give constant encouragement and support to them. Dr. Suman briefed about ‘’The Child’s health and healthy choices’’. The interaction proved to be a very fruitful platform for sharing and discussing issues related to a growing child. It also gives the parents a good opportunity to pose all their enquiries related to child’s better upbringing.

             There are many cases of malpractices in private and public spaces. To curb or to reduce all this Dept. of Edu. has advised the schools to take pledge against any type of exploitation of the children. Today the students of Arwachin Bharti Bhawan Sr. Sec. School, Vivek Vihar, took pledge under the guidance and directions of Principal, Dr. Urmila Sharma and Director, Mr. Anurup Sharma. By taking pledge and by following the same, we expect the society to be reformed.

              URGENT MESSAGE FOR PARENTS OF CLASS IX STUDENTS CHANGE IN CLASS IX BLUE PRINT OF QUESTION PAPERS

              NOTE:-

              1.    Chapter “Natural  Resources “  will not be included in Question Paper.

              2.    OTBA questions will be based on the passages given by Board i.e. “SWACHH  BHARAT” and “ MARS MISSION”.

              General Instruction:- For Sc. Q.Paper:-

              i)     The question paper comprises of three Sections, A,B and C. You are the attempt all the sections.

              ii)   All questions are compulsory.

              iii)  There is no choice in any of the questions

              iv)  All questions of Section-A, Section –B and Section –C are to be attempted separately.

              v)   Question number 1 to 3 in Section –A are one mark questions. These are to be answered in one word or in one Sentence.

              vi)  Question number 4 and 5 in Section –A are two marks questions. These are to be answered in about 30 words each.

              vii) Question number 6 to 16 in Section –A are three marks questions. These are to be answered in about 50 words each.

              viii)  Question number 17 to 21 in Section –A are five marks questions. These are to be answered in about 70 words each.

              ix)  Section B has 3 OTBA questions. Question number 22 is two marks, Question number 23 is three marks and Question number 24 is five marks question.

              x)    Question numbers 25 to 33 in section-C are multiple choice question based on practical skills. Each question is a one mark question. You are to select one most appropriate response out of the four provided to you.

              xi)  Question numbers 34 to 36 in Section C are two marks questions based on practical skills. These are to be answered in about 30 words each.
